Did You Know Joyous Provides Special Education & Therapy Support?

Many families know Joyous as a preschool.

Fewer know that Joyous also provides specialised educational and therapeutic support through Joyous Allied Care.

What is Allied Care?

Allied Care is a team of professionals who support children across different areas of development, including:

  • Learning
  • Communication
  • Motor and sensory skills
  • Emotional wellbeing
  • Behaviour and social development

These services are structured, professional, and personalised to each child’s developmental profile and long-term goals.

i. Development & Learning Support

  • Early Intervention Programme (EIP)
  • Individualised Learning Support in Preschool

ii. Therapeutic Support

  • Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Speech & Language Therapy (ST)

iii. Emotional & Psychological Wellbeing

  • Play Therapy
  • Clinical Psychology (Assessment & Support)

What Does "Special Education" Mean Today?

Special education is often misunderstood.

It does not mean isolating children or lowering expectations.

Instead, it focuses on:

  • Identifying developmental needs
  • Providing structured intervention
  • Strengthening foundational skills
  • Supporting participation in inclusive settings

At Joyous, special education works alongside inclusive learning — not apart from it.

Who Is It For?

Allied Care supports children who may:

  • Experience developmental delays
  • Have ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, GDD, or Down Syndrome
  • Face challenges with communication
  • Have sensory or motor differences
  • Feel anxious, withdrawn, angry, or overwhelmed
  • Need emotional support after life changes or difficult experiences (e.g., moving schools, family separation, loss of a loved one, stressful events)
  • Require structured behavioural or learning support in school

Support is designed to build independence, not dependency.

Did You Know?

Therapies such as Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, and Play Therapy are not “extra classes.”

They are structured interventions that strengthen:

Communication

Motor coordination

Sensory processing

Emotional wellbeing

Why This Matters

Inclusive education cannot exist without professional support.

When special education and therapy services are thoughtfully integrated, children gain:

  • Confidence
  • Self-regulation skills
  • Communication competence
  • Greater participation in community life

Inclusion is not about sameness — it’s about ensuring every child has access to meaningful learning.

Joyous Allied Care exists to strengthen inclusive education through professional special education and therapeutic support.

Because meaningful participation requires more than intention — it requires expertise.
