“What is it ?

Assessment and treatment of speech and language disorders.

“Who is this for?

Children facing difficulties with:

• Language – Difficulty understanding others or expressing own thoughts/ideas

• Speech – Trouble vocalizing sounds or putting sounds together to form words

• Fluency – Stuttering or poor flow of speech

• Social Communication – Struggle with the social use of verbal and non-verbal communication

• Cognitive Communication – Difficulty with memory, problem-solving, and other thinking skills

“How does Joyous conduct Speech Therapy?

• Our speech therapists will interact with the child through speech and play, using books, pictures, and other objects as part of the language intervention method to stimulate language development.

• Our therapists will also model correct sounds and syllables for the child to develop age-appropriate play skills and purposefully vocalize their actions.

Our therapists assist children with developing the skills needed for basic communication using creative methods and evidence-based practices for a highly-motivating and enjoyable learning experience.
